The Inter-rail pass is available to anyone who is normally resident or has lived in Europe for a minimum of 6 consecutive months prior to the date of the application. Applicants for an under 26 pass must be under 26 on the first day of travel.

- Inter-RaiIs can only be issued up to two months in advance.
- A valid passport or national identity card must be shown to prove eligibility.
- Holders of lnter-Rail -26 Cards are eligible for the Young Persons Railcard discounts on journeys on the Great Britain Passenger Railway.
- In addition to unlimited travel over the various national railways, Inter-Railers are offered discounts by many private railways and shipping companies
- Port taxes are payable on Attica ships between Italy and Greece
- The usual fees are payable for reserved seats. couchettes or sleeping berths
Freedom passes allow you to travel within one of 27 countries for either 3, 5 or 8 days in one month. There are discounted 2nd class fares for those under 26. Here are a few examples:

An Indrail Pass is a travel-as-you-like ticket, issued for a specific period of time, over the entire Indian Rail Network. Passes are valid for 7, 15, 21,30,60 and 90 days and the cost of the pass is dependent on the class and the period of travel. What better way of exploring the Indian sub-continent.
Amtrak 
There are 3 different Amtrak Explorer Passes available. If you want to experience all that America has to offer; the National Pass is the best option. Rail passes are valid for 15 or 30 days.
